This project involves the construction of a new primary school comprised of 30 classrooms, where the proposed school area is approximately 6,100 square metre. The site falls within an area zoned “Government, Institution and Community” (G/IC) on the approved Kai Tak Outline Zoning Plan (OZP) No. S/K22/5. Considerations when planning the conceptual design should be given to allow and enhance pedestrian circulation towards the waterfront in the whole Kai Tak Development Area as well as the circulation pathways within the site. Outside the site, there is a green street for amenity use according to the OZP. The proposed conceptual landscape design merges with the existing green street and maximise greening opportunities at the peripheral of the site to soften the edge of the development.
