The existing site is a sloped area nearby the Mid-Levels Escalator, without enough seats along the route. The proposed new commercial landmark aims to integrate urban furniture, sitting platform and terrace on sloped passage. Steps Plaza demonstrates how layering could perform as stairs and sitting platform at the same time. Sitting decks are removable furniture that could be inserted to the steps at night, providing a nice gathering space with feature lighting.
